Call immediately if
You smell burning plastic or see scorch marks at an outlet or panel; a breaker trips instantly every time it is reset; the panel buzzes, crackles, or is hot to the touch; power is out in part of the house while neighbors have it; or anything sparked. Probably fine until morning
A single dead outlet on a working circuit, a GFCI that reset once and held, a light switch that stopped working. Still worth fixing promptly, but not worth losing sleep over. Describe it when you call and we will tell you honestly which kind of problem you have.
Storms and outages
After North Shore storms we handle downed service masts, water-damaged panels, and generator hookups. If ComEd restores power but your house stays dark, the problem is on the home side, and that is us.
What to expect from the call

What should I do while I wait?
If it is safe to reach, switch off the affected breaker, or the main if you are unsure. Do not spray water on anything electrical, and keep people away from the area.
Do you charge just to come out?
Emergency visits carry a service call fee that is quoted when you call and applied toward the repair. No surprises on the invoice.
Do you cover my town?
